Fellowship Program

The Buzz on the Fellows Program

“I would recommend this fellowship... Absolutely.  Working here gives the chance to teach skills that you can't learn in school.  Everyone is extremely nice and more than willing to explain how or why we do what we do.  They genuinely want to see the fellows succeed.”
— Elise Lampert, Fellow, Austin, TX, Summer 2009

“Without a doubt I would recommend that any of my friends (both Republicans & Democrats) apply for the fellowship program at Public Strategies. Coming into my first day incredibly nervous and unsure, I was warmly welcomed into a great working atmosphere. But not only was the atmosphere and workplace environment a positive experience, the work assigned was dynamic and interesting.”
— David Boyajian, Fellow, Washington, DC, Summer 2009

The Job

The Summer 2010 session is scheduled to begin on Monday, May 24, 2010, and ends on Friday, August 6, 2010. The deadline for submitting resumes for Summer 2010 session has ended. (Resumes for upcoming fellowships, such as the Fall 2010 session, will be accepted for consideration June 1-30, 2010.)

This is a unique opportunity for students to learn more about public affairs, crisis and reputation management, and corporate communications campaigns through a hands-on fellowship. Fellows will play a critical role in client work as well as internal projects that consist of heavy research and writing. Candidates are preferably in their junior or senior year of college, recent graduates, or in graduate school.

Compensation ranges from $10 to $15 hourly.

Applicants should have advanced writing, research, and organizational skills and be motivated, fast learners, preferably with an interest in government, politics, or corporate strategy. Knowledge of writing in AP Style is a plus. Potential fellow candidates should also have a strong academic background, be able to manage multiple projects at a time and maintain a professional and positive attitude to learn and participate in client-related projects.
